Passport - System Advanced Setup Update
Why are we making this change?
We are constantly adding functionality to our system and hence the system configuration expands. We are are updating the System Advanced Setup part in Passport so that the user can configure the different system parts in a similar way. In addition to offer our users same type of interface in different menus, as well as a common look and feel across GlobalReader software.
What changes?
1.Create button is always accessible
Navigating in any tab in the Setup the user is able to click the Create button to add different types of settings on-the-fly.
2. Tables have unified layout
Any table in the Settings will have Active/All selection to Show/Hide disabled entries. Search function is placed on top right side.
3. Groups
Any configuration with Groups or Sub-group selection can be found in sub-tabs. Groups can be added from “+”-button.
4. Navigation
There’s two-level navigation: Generic level that lists all configurations and device-level that lists the settings of a selected Device.
When navigating to System Advanced Setup → Devices and Selecting a Device then all the settings of this Device can be viewed and Edited.
In the same fashion the Create button creates Settings now for the selected Device only.
Example. Need to add onetime shift for the Device AMD for next Saturday. Navigate to System Advanced Setup → Devices → AMD. Click the next Saturday in Calendar. Click Create → Shift. Select One-time Shift, select times and Save.
Example. Need to add one-time shift for five Devices. Navigate to System Advanced Setup → Click Create → Shift. Set times, select all the needed devices.
